Description

This exclusive collection features some of our favorite barrel treatments of Black Tuesday from the original box set released in 2021. The big and bold nature of the Black Tuesday base beer lends itself well to lengthy wood-aging and highlights the unique nuances of each spirit barrel.

It's been said it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert, so after 12 years, we feel confident in saying we've put in the hours when it comes to barrel-aging beers— especially Black Tuesday. This box represents our collective 10,000 hours of practice and dedication and is a testament to our team's commitment to never taking the easy way and constantly striving to improve. We hope you enjoy.

Black Tuesday - Cognac Barrel-Aged:
This version of Black Tuesday spent 18 months developing in choice cognac barrels— a rare find, so of course, we had to do something special with them. Pouring a dark black with an almost purple-ish hue, the nose is greeted with aromas of grape and hints of candied fruit. The palate is unmistakably Black Tuesday, with bold notes of dark fruits, rich chocolate, and crème brûlée that are complemented by notes of savory caramel, vanilla, and honey from the barrel.

Black Tuesday - Madeira Barrel-Aged:
This version of Black Tuesday spent 18 months developing in madeira barrels. If you've never tried madeira, it's typically sweet, fortified wine from Portugal. The barrel component is apparent as the nose is enveloped with peach notes, followed by dark roast and hints of caramel. The taste experience is similar with a semi-sweetness that highlights bright berry flavors, a strong imperial stout body, finishing with a firm tannic structure.

Black Tuesday - Scotch Barrel-Aged:
This version of Black Tuesday spent 18 months developing in Speyside Scotch barrels. Pouring a rich, thick, jet-black, the nose is gently greeted by big notes of dark chocolate and dark fruit. The palate follows suit with a light peatiness, brought forth by the barrels, and accentuates the notes of roast, dark chocolate, and caramel.

Black Tuesday - Sherry Barrel-Aged:
This version of Black Tuesday spent 18 months developing in Oloroso Sherry barrels. The barrel shines through as aromas of dried fruit fill the room as you pour. The palate isn't far off as you pick up familiar Black Tuesday notes of roast and dark chocolate interlaced with a medley of tobacco, spice, and cherry notes.
